So... LET'S TALK!
First off its won some awards, doesn't mean its going to be a great read. Secondly it's been suggested as the '2012s best read', also doesn't mean its going to be a great read.
Now that I'm reading it....
It's a GREAT READ!
Written as a fiction book, that also talks about the author and his researching processes, its unlike anything I have ever read before. I think this may be why it won awards, and its supposed to be the 2012 book, but who am I to say.
Its based on 'HHhH' which is an abbreviation of 'Himmler's Brain is called Heydrich' (in English of course) and refers to Heydrich, a real live person who was the brains behind many of the 'nasty' Nazi operations.
While sometime very confronting, it's well written and gives background to most of the stories. It is also great at incorporating what the author would like to 'artistically' add to the fictional story, but has chosen to show why it can or can't be included due to the research that was actually found.
All sound a bit confusing... bugger!
Just pick it up and give it a go....
